Registered Counselling Psychologist
About Caroline Marokane
With experience across clinical, community, and high-demand settings, I provide integrative, evidence-based support for trauma, substance use, emotional, behavioural, and adjustment-related concerns.
About Me
Caroline Marokane
I am a registered Counselling Psychologist providing psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and supportive interventions for emotional, behavioural, and adjustment-related concerns.
My work is shaped by experience across clinical (primary health care facilities), community (NGOs), and high-demand environments (military), including addiction treatment and multidisciplinary healthcare systems. These experiences have informed a practical and grounded understanding of how psychological support can be both effective and accessible.
I have a special interest in trauma and substance use. Many individuals do not present with a clear narrative of trauma, but rather with patterns of coping that were once adaptive and are no longer serving them. Therapy becomes a space to understand these patterns and develop more sustainable ways of functioning
Therapeutic Approach
Integrative and Evidence-Based Care
My approach is integrative and evidence-based. I draw from Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and other brain-based interventions, depending on your needs. Therapy is collaborative and paced, with an emphasis on safety, insight, and meaningful change.
